My Project
We are looking to help save the planet and make it a better place for the animals.
We want to provide a safe place for birds in our neighborhood school to feed and flourish by giving them a place to eat food for the day.
We know birds are happy creatures that provide people with joy and and help the planet thrive. Our students thought if we give the birds in our community a safe space to eat seed from, they will give us the ability to learn from them. We will be able to study their habits and learn about their patterns, we can see them and hear them during our school day and use this information to plan how we can help make a place in our school community for them.
We would like to start our plans for helping save the animals and the planet's living spaces one step at a time and our student population felt small birds in our Brooklyn school community would be a good place to start. We want to be able to see them feed, learn about patterns of time of day, type of weather which type of bird comes by our feeding space.
We would love to use this information to develop a school log of birds, size of birds, number of birds and finally how do the birds get along with each other.
