We began using them right away to support lessons focused on communication, literacy, and daily living skills. For example, during a recent activity, students used fine-motor manipulatives and picture supports to follow multi-step directions and practice requesting items, which helped build both confidence and independence.\r\n\r\nThese resources have already made a difference by helping each student stay engaged and motivated during instruction. They create more opportunities for hands-on learning and positive interactions, which are so important in our special education setting.\r\n\r\nOur next step is to continue using these tools to support social-emotional learning and functional communication throughout the school day — from morning meetings to academic centers. By having two nice speakers for our students to use in our group meetings, or our group performances helps out more that you could know. By being able toss a foam speaker to a students who is shy to start out, helps ease their fear and allows for their voice to be heard without adults asking many times to say it again. Having these two speakers is such an amazing tool and we can not wait to use them in Sept. when we start our 25 26 school year projects. \r\nDonors, I could never say the words thank you enough for you to understand the impact and help this provides to my daily work day and how it helps our students grow and become a greater person who can show who they are and what they are capable of. \r\n\r\nI am grateful for this platform, donors like yourself and the freedom to list what I feel works in my space for the students I work with.
