Help me give my students with Autism support in my classroom. I believe the items I have included will help my students inside and outside of the classroom.
I believe the items I have included will help my students inside and outside of the classroom. I am requesting some sensory activity solutions to help my students regulate their bodies when they are feeling overwhelmed at school. My students are curious, bright and unique! They are constantly seeking sensory stimulation and love learning through touch. Some of these items that I have listed will allow me to create a sensory center in my classroom. Adding a sensory center in my classroom will help my students tremendously. Research shows that sensory play builds nerve connections in the brain's pathways, which lead to the child's ability to complete more complex learning tasks. This is my 4th year teaching but my second year as a teacher who teaches students with Autism. After my 1st year, I have a better idea of what my students truly need to help them inside and outside the classroom. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I know my kiddos will light up when they see these items in their classroom! Thank you!
