Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds and levels. They all have a love of learning, and I try my best to provide them with the skills they need to be successful in the future. My students are very important to me. I try to make each student feel special and worthwhile. They need to know they CAN do it! Having a growth mindset is the key. I am working on incorporating blended learning in my classroom to help my students to reach their potential.

My Project

The PowerMyLearning Program will help my students with comprehension and recall. By using this program, my students and their families will work together to review material learned in class. By having this extra measure of support from both teacher and family, students will gain a sense of pride from teaching their family members once they learn the material in class. After practicing once again at home, they can teach a family member. The highest level of comprehension comes from the ability to teach another.

I feel this program will help my students that often feel alone or left behind.

It will give them a sense of purpose.
