This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our classroom would benefit from having multimedia devices available for students to use daily in order to enhance and assess their science learning.

My students represent a variety of ethnic cultures.

Many of them are from low-income families. They attend a public middle school located in California. All of my students are in the 8th grade. My students enjoy studying science, but we need hands-on materials to enhance their learning experience.

My Project

My students will work in groups to complete projects and use multimedia to make presentations to classmates. For example, students will use the camcorder and iPad to record and edit movie clips (3 - 5 minutes in length) they made within their group. Students will incorporate audio, narration, pictures, etc. to enhance their movies. Laptop and printer will be utilized to conduct research, share presentations, and to create and edit scripts. All of these devices will play a crucial role in their development in science and technology.
