Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My project aims to cultivate kindness and promote literacy within our school and community. The core of this initiative involves creating book gifts tailored for third to fifth graders, featuring popular titles that will spark their imaginations. My students will actively participate in assembling these gifts, which will then be donated to students in need within our upper elementary grades.

This project goes beyond simply providing access to books; it's about spreading kindness, fostering a love of reading, and teaching valuable lessons about giving back.

By participating, my students will learn the importance of making a difference in the lives of others and experience the profound joy that comes from selfless acts of community service. This project underscores the powerful impact that community service can have in creating a more compassionate and literate environment for everyone.
