Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Was reading difficult for you? If it was wouldn't it have been nice to have been able to get a list of books at your reading level so you would've been successful. The tablet will allow them to see their progress in class and motivate them as they see their reading ability increase.
My students face many difficulties in the area they live.
They are all second language learners and reading is a challenge to many of them. The district has given us tool to assess and monitor students but we lack the technology at our school site. My students want to thrive in their learning.
My Project
With the tablet available in class I will be able to monitor their reading growth more frequently. Also they will be able use it to do activities online to help improve their reading. I want to see my students get motivated and want to learn. They will be successful and want to do games but they will be learning at the same time.
When you help by students get a tablet in class you can be assured that learning will be more enjoyable.
My students get excited when they meet a new goal. Becoming better readers and monitoring their levels will motivate many of them to work harder.
