Students Sharing Shakespeare in the Spotlight

My Project

A classroom set of William Shakespeare plays in today's language and on a middle school reading level will be perfect for my exploratory Theater students in grades 6-8. Each student in the class will have their own copy of ten different plays.

These plays will introduce "the world's greatest playwright," to students, increase their reading fluency and comprehension, and provide a way for them to improve their speaking and acting skills.

After reading and discussing the plays in class, students will have a chance to choose a play to perform for their classmates. We will perform onstage with costumes and sets designed by the students based on their research of their play.
