Students Share and Show Algebra Methods With Document Cameras
Help me give my students a document camera for sharing work with others in math class. Sharing different methods and ideas is a great way to learn.

My Project
My students are from a rural farming community. We love to use technology in the classroom along with the old "pencil and paper" methods. In algebra class students are assigned homework, and then we share how we got our answers so that students learn from each other. The students love to help each other learn. Sometimes it is hard for a student to explain the work they did on their paper so they have to rewrite it on the promethean board which wastes classtime.
My students learn from each other by sharing ideas and methods in my Algebra class, but this can be easier to do with a "document camera" that hooks up to the promethean board for visual sharing opportunities!
Students love to share their ideas and their work and this technology will make the sharing so much easier!! The students will be able to put their work on the big screen to show and share with classmates as they verbally explain the processes they used to get their answers. Students will have the opportunity to show multiple different ideas and methods and compare and contrast the methods used and the steps shown. It will also promote speaking in front of a group and peer teaching.
