Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students from 5th-8th grade who are usually coming to me for Speech and Language sessions always respond well with the help of new therapy materials. Students from middle schools are coming for the speech sessions from Monday-Friday.
As an SLP in a low income, high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My Project
Help me give my students a vocabulary building games library, a Synonym & Antonym Gold Rush Vocabulary Game, and a Main Street Shopping: Main Idea Game. The vocabulary board games will help my students increase their vocabulary at the conversational level. As a Speech Pathologist in a low income, high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
