Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students in our classroom love interactive read alouds . The students will love the opportunity to do this at home as well. My project will allow the students to use one of the Tonie box's I have received to be included in the book bags I will send him next year with the students. My unique learners come to school 2 or 3 days depending on how old they are. I plan to make weekly bags that the students will rotate through based on interests in my classroom. One of the bags will include a Tonie box and books that go with it and an activity.
Tonies have brought joy in my classroom as it is away for the children to be independent.
Some of the stories are in English and Spanish and will be great for parents and children to work together. The challenges with not having them in the classroom daily are present and this will allow the parents to work closely with me to achieve success.
