Students Need Basketball Gear to Keep Them Active!

My Students
This group is positively one of the most resilient groups of kids I've worked with in all my years of being an educator. Living in rural parts on our island in Hawaii, my kids are able to live without the luxuries of working facilities, functioning equipment, and a sufficient amount of technology. At our Title I school, my kids are faced with financial challenges at a young age. They "make do" with what they are given and rarely do they complain about the condition of the facilities and/or equipment. My class has the potential to motivate and inspire students through exercise and physical fitness and is one of the few classes that promote movement throughout the entire period!
My Project
Let's give our students something positive to do with their time after school! Our younger generation is constantly having to compete with how to use their time wisely. Basketball is a sport that transcends all nations, continents, and people. There are so many people throughout the world who enjoy this team sport on a daily basis. I'd like the students at my school to join in on the fun with equipment that will help them learn the fundamentals of this great universal sport.
Student athletes should be given the best opportunity to thrive in all aspects of physical fitness, team sports, and of course academics.
I wish for these student athletes to have the proper equipment and enough equipment for them to practice and build their skills of the game. The intent is to allow the students to use the equipment during practice, scrimmages, and drills to build their skills, knowledge, and love of the game of basketball.
