Students Need A Way To Create Music!

My students need a keyboard amp, mini laptop production keyboard, and mic converter/mic preamp to express themselves with music.

My Students

Remember how great it was to escape to the band room and play your instrument? Imagine not having that outlet because your school can't provide an art, theater, or even a choir class!

Pencils beating on the desk, awaiting the next new beat and the next new voice to spit what's real outta life.

When I hear this, I encourage their creativity. Obviously they need a reason to get out all the feelings that exist inside them. Whether stress from a hard time, pressures from life, or just the simple desire to jam out to a different beat than the everyday jive of life, my student need an outlet in which to capture their voice. My students escape to a safe school environment every day after having left the realities of life that often give little or no voice to kids. But these kids ESPECIALLY need a way to express everything that's going on in their lives! They need a creative outlet to capture their feelings, their experiences, and the truth of what they are having to live through!

My Project

I am requesting enough to create a bare-bones beat-creation kit, banking on students using my own iPhone and supplementing with a microphone I already have to make it all work together. I ordered only bare-bones elements including an amp that can be used for percussion + bass/melody lines or vocals to create their voices and get out the things that often create stresses in their lives without any other outlet to get it all out! We also need a mini laptop production keyboard and mic converter/mic preamp.

Music is one of the things that saved ME and one of the few things that got me through high school!

Without it, I don't know WHAT I would have done. The economy hasn't improved much since I graduated from high school; I can't even imagine how much harder it is for my own students. Please consider giving voice to today's current generation and empowering them to succeed in the upcoming future!
