it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a Special Education Teacher in a Title I school. One of my focus areas is social emotional health. One way I care for my students is by creating a calm, soothing, and tranquil learning environment.
Fluorescent lights create anxiety, bodily stress, promote eye strain and hyperactivity among students, and add to the everyday challenges students with disabilities already face.
Fluorescent light covers can alleviate these problems by lowering the glare and flicker effect which can be very distracting.
Fluorescent light covers can be very counterproductive to learning in a Special Education classroom because students with special needs often have a difficult time focusing. These outdated lights can interfere with the performance of visual tasks. It has also been shown to induce headaches. Furthermore, fluorescent lights can irritate the nervous system, causing lower performance accuracy and poor concentration.
Please help students learn in a distraction-free environment!
