Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Having a self contained, multiple disabilities classroom can be challenging and rewarding. The challenge is trying to find real life lessons for their future, and the reward is seeing their accomplishments.

A student run mobile store would enforce multiple skills within my class.

We would learn social skills (interacting with others), academic skills (math/money/counting), and life skills (sales, customer service).

We would not be selling items for profit, but we would use pretend money for all sales.

My students will have a sense of pride when they have their cart out and are interacting with students and staff. It is a hands on class that they will remember forever.
