This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In Honors Physics we cover a number of concepts. Those include Motion (dynamics), energy, thermodynamics, electricity, circuits, and more. With 150 students it can be challenging to provide a variety of pathways to build knowledge.
One technique I've used with success is to give students access to the Manga Guides to Physics and Math, allowing for that alternate path and/or extension for advanced students who are thirsting for more.
These are legit textbooks with images, explanations, and math, all tied into an interesting storyline.
My goal with this project is to build a small library of Manga Guides to Physics and Math so that many students can dig deeper, go farther, and have some fun doing it.
