Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As of March 17th my students have been learning at home. Our school district is Title I and in a very low income community. Although our district has done everything to help provide the means to learn at home, many of our students just do not have the basics to succeed.
My students do not have the resources needed to help support their basic needs.
They can definitely benefit from a variety of basic everyday essentials and resources to help increase their success in remote distance learning.
My Project
The items I chose were specifically chosen to help my students create projects while distance learning. At this time all students need that extra push to stay engaged. My students are creating projects as part of STEAM and need the tools at home to make their projects look more exciting and presentable during their ZOOM meetings.
My students come from a low income, Title I district that provides many resources, but sometimes they need those extras to help bring out their creative side and allow them to express themselves through art.
