This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hello! My name is Jenny Gines and I am currently a middle school mathematics. I host an after-school club where students with a passion for STEM can learn about various careers and build their skills. Many of the participants in my club are young women of color. As a woman of color in STEM myself, I have a sense of pride in being able to teach these young ladies about their capabilities to take up space in the STEM vector.
These items will go towards teaching students about robotics using LEGOs.
Students will learn to build various projects, code and program the machine to provide movement and sound effects, and work collaboratively with their peers.
