My Project
Desks that accommodate all of our students' bodies will make it possible for all of them to learn and grow in a safe and accepting environment. We should not have furniture that shames kids because it doesn't accommodate their bodies, but unfortunately our district does not have any other options.
My goal is to provide an environment where all kids feel like they belong and are valued, while they learn and grow into critical thinkers and engaged, caring young scholars.
Our OTR, Policy and Law Juniors are amazing, brilliant, thoughtful, and have a strong sense of care and justice in our community, as well as the larger world. We do regular collaboration projects and discussion--like mock trial and book circle discussions, and so always sit in groups of 4-6, to allow regular discussion, sharing and collaboration.
