My Students
Spring is here and our classroom will need cooling as students are learning.
My class is comprised of 25 students in Third Grade.
We are a Title I school with a large ELL population. About half of my students are ELL students, which consist of mostly Bengali and Spanish speakers. We are located within a diverse neighborhood school with over 1,300 students.
My Project
Our school is very large with almost 7-8 classes for each grade. Unfortunately, most classes in the building do not have a cooling fan or air conditioner in the rooms. During the beginning and end of the school year the rooms get very hot and humid. With a cooling fan, students will be able to feel more comfortable as they are learning. My students would also be less distracted by the heat and focus more on the lessons and skills being taught with this cooling fan.
Donations to this project will improve my classroom tremendously.
Although we do not have access to an air conditioner in the room, getting a fan would help keep my students cool and happy.
