Students in My SPED Room Deserve the Same as Others

My students need access to the same technology as students at surrounding schools, two Galaxy Tabs and an iPad. My students need to be able to access programs that will help promote academic success, as each one learns differently.

My Students

My students are all serviced in the resource room. They are all very smart children who work hard at being the best that they can be. They push beyond their disabilities and strive for success. They are wonderful children who deserve to have access to the same learning environments as their non-disabled peers. With their unique way of learning, they need access to technology. This will help them grow and learn at their pace. These students are precious and want nothing more than to be academically successful.

My Project

The Galaxy Tabs and iPad will be used to help differentiate lessons, as each special education student learns differently and at their own pace. Students can access their ELA and Math through the internet, where they can learn their way. I will be able to assign individualized assignments to my students through these units. I will be able to have students log into the school Wi-Fi with their user name and password, as part of a center rotation. It will give them help with Lexia and AR, as well as Prodigy Math, Spelling City, Mobymax, and many more great programs that provide ways for me to differentiate assignments.
