Our school located in a small rural town in Central Maine with three quarters of the students being from low-income households. I have started a GoGreen club in the high school where students have helped launch a recycling program, created a bulletin where many things related to our earth and environment are posted. The students appear enthusiastic and enjoy learning through hands-on. creative activities.
The students seem eager to help make a difference to create a healthier earth in any way they can for themselves and future generations!
My Project
The putting together and use of solar equipment will help students become more aware or alternative energy sources and how solar can provide electricity.
Planting and gardening with will help students become aware of sustainability, how things grow and hopefully inspire them to grow their own food.
Hydroponics: The Complete Guide to Start Your Own Hydroponic Garden. Learn How to Build a Hydroponics System for Homegrown Organic Fruit, Herbs and Vegetables will also be an excellent educational tool to guide the students to try a different way of planting.
The students can make a difference for the future of our earth and the materials can give them a jumpstart.
