This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Greetings! My name is Mrs. Amaral, and I am a third year 5th grade teacher. I am currently teaching in a charter elementary school located near the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development complex where multiple socioeconomically disadvantaged families reside in single-family dwellings. The government housing project is home to the majority of the student population. Believe me when I say that these students deserve my project.
My students care about their education, and I am seeking to enhance their learning through the use of a microphone.
Unfortunately, there is a limit on resources that I can get for my class from the school. I depend on donors like you to help fund my project.
My Project
I have an ample amount of students whom don't like to participate because they have special needs or are introverts, and I truly believe that the QBall Microphone will encourage students to share their thinking in a fun way.
The QBall is a ball shaped microphone that teachers can toss to students during class discussions.
This project will allow students that are soft spoken to amplify their voice in a way that will keep their peers engaged. I truly feel that our Math talks and Number talks, which are conducted on a daily basis, will reach another level. This item can also be used to project their voices during presentations.
