My students need 30 beginner dissecting kits, 30 safety goggles, and 3 Specimen Class Dissecting packs.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Jordan's classroom raised $848
This project is fully funded
I teach Biology I for 9th-12th graders. My school is one of few Level 3 schools in the state.
I've surveyed all of my students and none of them have ever been in a laboratory before. I told them that I'd do whatever I could so that they could have a meaningful, first laboratory experience.
Biology I typically allows the students to learn through hands-on labs, so the student can see and dissect specimens similar to those in their books. However, there are no dissecting kits available for all of my students, much less specimens to dissect. Completing this project will give my students the resources they need to have an adequate experience of what it's like to be a Biologist.
You will help my students embark on a great journey into the interesting aspects of Biology, by allowing them to have a hands-on experience with the topics we uncover in class.
