Help me give my students hands on technology with iPads so they can learn through interactive lessons and experience and experiment with stem activities.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are in a Title I school, which receives 100% free breakfast and lunch. This means basically that the area is very poverty stricken and the students are from very challenged and diverse backgrounds. Students are eager learners and want every opportunity to learn. They are easily encouraged and they want to come to school every day to learn and experience new and exciting things. Students love working with technology. They also love to learn and experiment with stem activities and interactive technology activities.
My Project
Help me give all students an iPad so that my class will have a whole set and students can learn interactively with this technology. They are currently working on a stem project entitled “Save the Lions” and need the iPads to complete this stem project. The students are working with another group of students in Africa to help save the lions of Africa. They are communicating through video chats and classroom activities. They are researching food sources available and also other groups that could help their cause. The students are working to improve awareness and help other students around the world see the problems of the lion families.
