Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
One challenge facing students in our community is obtaining the materials necessary to create exciting projects that demonstrate their hard work. These displays will provide the centerpiece for our Museum Night and bring community members into our school to view student work.
My students are enthusiastic scholars working in a low-income area (Title I school).
Coming from diverse backgrounds, my students respond well to academic challenges. They are going to display their upcoming research projects in our school's Museum Night. This student exhibition will inspire student work and build community.
My Project
We are requesting display boards and colored pencils to help students make their proposed Museum Night a reality. Students will learn to conduct research and display their findings in an informative manner. My students are excited and motivated about this opportunity to display their research in a public setting. The exhibition takes place on our campus and encourages community members to visit our school and participate in the students' education. It is essential to build student pride in their work and increase parent participation at our Title I public school.
