Help me give my students hot food for when they are hungry at school.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
During Ramadan, we do not cook rice during class time because our peers are fasting! But ordinarily...
During computer science class in the late morning hours, students who may have skipped breakfast are often hungry.
In my classroom, students are allowed to cook rice for each other and eat it out of paper cups with spoons.
Inside the latched-lid rice container, they encounter a Chinese red envelope that welcomes continued prosperity into our lives. Because we have fewer than 5% Asian or API students, this encounter with a red envelope deepens students understanding of Chinese symbology: rice symbolizes freedom from hunger or want, and red symbolizes good fortune or luck. When we make rice for each other, we are celebrating what we have.
Students learn how to sate their hunger using just a rice cooker (a life / survival skill), and peers teach one another (communication skills) how to make the most perfect rice. They even wipe the countertops and wash the dishes (so they can make more rice).
This activity is allowed to commence when all students are logged in with a JavaScript programming activity open, so rice is an incentive for students to begin work promptly. The practice also familiarizes students with high technology workplace culture, which is designed to optimize intellectual performance by providing for the needs of knowledge workers.
This project includes rice, spoons, paper cups, forks, and also instant oatmeal which students can access quickly and independently, when there is no cooked rice. It also includes an upgrade to a AROMA® 20-Cup (Cooked) One-Touch Rice Cooker with a 20 cups cooked rice capacity, so students can make more rice at one time.
