My students need some activities that will get them involved in learning. My plan is to use these games in stations for review in every subject: Math, Reading, Spelling, Grammar, & Science.

My Students
My students are 5th graders located in the beautiful, capital city of Charleston, WV. They are eager learners and have hearts of gold. A large majority of the students come from low socio-economic homes, but that doesn't keep them from being engaged in the classroom.
I feel that the more engaged in learning they are, the more they will enjoy it, and the more they will retain.
These students love cooperative learning and completing projects. They work hard and are always willing to put forth 100% effort.
My Project
I love getting my students to play games and review what we've learned all at the same time. I want some fun games that students will be excited to use. We can put the games in small groups of students with some review questions and let them go.
These unique games that allow students to get wet and/ or messy are super fun and enticing.
The students will learn while having fun, which will increase the amount of engagement. When engagement goes up, so does the retention, which is my ultimate goal. I want these students to remember what we're learning, and not just long enough to take a test.
My idea is to split students into groups, each with a game. Students will have review cards on whatever topic we are currently covering in one or more subjects. Students that answer their questions correctly in the 'Pie in the Face' game will get an opportunity to click the wheel and gamble with some whip cream to the face. What kid wouldn't love to review this way?
