My Students

Aside from being curious learners and lovers of science and social studies, our fourth graders are genuine and caring kids who love putting a smile on the face of other students and adults alike. These are the type of kids one can only dream about spending a work day with. Their love for new experiences and learning shines brighter than the sun...whether it is building an invention prototype in science lab, earning a shiny rock or mineral to hold on their desks, or crying together on the carpet while reading Island of the Blue Dolphins.

Our mission is to empower our fourth graders by letting them see that they alone can make a positive difference in the world for others who are in need.

It is our belief that a well-rounded 21st century learner is not only skilled in subject matter and study habits, but is also driven to have compassion for the greater world and to give back to the global community at large. Our fourth graders have been emotionally impacted by the hardships faced by humans and animals affected by the 2017 hurricanes, and they need support from our community to reach out and make that difference!

My Project

Our fourth graders know they C.A.N. (Change a Nation) one bottle at a time. These special students have been impacted by the natural disasters that have affected humans and animals across our country over the summer. Our desire is to extend our ongoing recycling routine to involve the entire school for the purpose of supporting our fellow Americans in need.

The funds raised by our recycling initiative will help support the ongoing needs of 2017 hurricane victims across the United States.

Each recycling bin will be donated to a classroom on campus, and our fourth graders will take charge of leading the school-wide initiative by encouraging their peers and teaching them about the importance of community service. Even a small school like ours can make a huge positive impact!
