My Students
Math is necessary for life skills. Second grade is a crucial age in learning how to become efficient mathematicians. This is a grade where students need to be confident in their math skills. Using hands on activities will help the students become interested and engaged in the learning process. This will help them to be prepared for their daily life.
I have a great group of second graders!
I have students that live in all different types of family units with varying economic statuses.
My Project
I will be able to use these activities in small groups that will help me to meet and work with many groups of students to enrich, review, or reteach students throughout the day. These resources will help me with my tier 1 and 2 teaching.
These math activities will help my students become better mathematicians through practice and fun puzzles.
I have selected particular math puzzles, manipulatives, and activities that will engage my students and help them excel.
Students love games and puzzles and I know that these activities and manipulatives will help the students become better at solving real world situations.
