We live in a digital rich world where students are hungering for an opportunity to experience being in front of, or behind a camera. We are launching a student run news and announcement broadcast and are in need of quality microphones so these incredible student voices can be heard. Microphones that pick up the speaker clearly and are free of outside noise can make for a better sounding broadcast.
One of the best ways for students to learn is through hands-on experience.
In my Broadcast Journalism class, students learn and experience the different roles required to run a news broadcast and the importance of speaking up. There is a cacophony of voices and opinions in today's society and it is important for students to share their voices and opinions and to learn to decipher truth from opinion. With your generous donation, you will be able to provide my students the means to produce a quality broadcast at a middle school entry level.
