This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Even though emergency funding throughout COVID 19 as well as other community resources have gone a long way to supporting our students, one thing that has not been addressed is the completely trashed, antiquated or downright uncomfortable classroom furniture that still inhabits our classrooms. Few were focused throughout the past two years on equipping the interiors of our classrooms to be safe as well as comfortable and updated for our students.
If we want students to feel valued and motivated, having quality interiors to our classrooms is part of that.
These two tables will help replace laminate tables where the laminate is peeling off and catching on clothing and/or skin, causing damage and even injury.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
