Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The items that I have included in my wishlist include activities for center-based reading and math rotations, snacks, and school supplies. The alphabet supplies, letter activities, and fishing game will help my students with letter identification and counting skills. The pencils, markers, and pencil bags are student supplies in case a student is unable to afford materials for school. The crackers, chips, and other snack items will be for student use if they get hungry throughout the day. I teach at a Title I school, meaning that most of my families are low income. Over the school year, many of our school supplies ran out, and families were unable to send more to school for their student. Many students were also unable to bring their own snacks, and would often complain of hunger in the morning and after lunch. I would buy school supplies and additional snacks with my own funds, which quickly became expensive. Your help and generosity will be supporting these students in more ways than you can imagine!
