My Students
My students are from Richmond Virginia and will be virtual learning from home until February! They love to immerse themselves in graphic novels, write notes to each other, and incorporate movement into their learning. My students build thoughtful relationships with one another and are leaders for social justice and change.
75.6% of students are economically disadvantaged and have vocalized not having the supplies and materials they need at home to complete projects and school work.
They succeed in a organized learning environment and by working together to come to solutions for complex problems.
I am so thankful to have a new set of students who are eager to learn and create change!
My Project
My school district will be distance learning until at least February due to Covid-19. This will be a new adventure for both myself and my students. Since many of my students rely on the district to provide them with school supplies, I am asking for donations to ensure they have all the necessary supplies to successfully virtual learn.
I want to provide lap desks/tray to all the students in my class so that they will have a space dedicated to virtual learning even if they do not have a table or desk to work from at home.
I also have markers and notebooks included in this project because my district is not providing them and I like for students to have an interactive notebook for each subject and be able to create and color code their work. These materials will help students be able to successfully learn from home.
