My Students
Our school is located in a wonderful urban community and has about 500 students. We have a very diverse school, and many of my students come from low socioeconomic families where just providing pencils and paper is difficult. My students still walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day.
I care so much about each and every one of these students in my classroom and want to see them succeed!
I want all my students to have everything that they need to have a successful school year.
My Project
I've been teaching virtually this semester, but we are coming back in person in the spring. Due to COVID, each student has to stay at their desk and we are not able to share supplies. Each student in my class with receive a storage bin, pencil pouch, white board, marker, and eraser.
These supplies will help my students learn in the classroom and at home if we have to return to virtual learning.
The storage bins will keep student belongings contained to their space. They will be able to store library books, pencil pouch, water bottle and so many other things in this container. The white board and supplies will be helpful in small group learning. Students will bring them to small group and use to interact with their peers. These will also be excellent for the possibility that we go virtual again. Students will be able to utilize the white boards over the virtual platform too.
