My students are an active bunch. They like to move, dance, and wiggle. This movement helps them learn, but can also be very distracting and disruptive to the class. I would like to create an environment where students can move and wiggle and not worry about bothering anyone else.
My students are kids who are excited to learn!
My students are eager and excited as soon as they step through the doors of our school building. In order for my students to sit for long periods of time can be a bit of a battle. They come to school each day hungry for knowledge and soak it up like little sponges. Our school is located in an urban district. Our school is warm, caring, and supportive.
My Project
Have you ever walked into a classroom? If not, picture three or four students who cannot stop moving, wiggling, and distracting their neighbors. Even if these students are separated, it disrupts the whole classroom. The teacher is constantly redirecting and trying to refocus the group. Teaching time is wasted. Children are not learning. I have requested 10, Hokki stools because students will be able to move safely (ie. not rocking on the legs of a chair) without disrupting the class.
Donations for this project will allow my students to be wiggly.
The students' wiggling on a Hokki stool will not be dangerous or a distraction to the classroom environment. They will be able to move while learning and will not be distracted during lessons or a distraction to others. Thank you for considering a donation to my project.
