Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I created a Google Doc for my students to put in "book request" for independent reading. I have a substantial library, but new books come out every year; books get lost or damaged, and interests change. Therefore, I like to update my library with student input.

Additionally, we are using a positive reward system of scholar dollars this year.

Students earn scholar dollars throughout the week and can use them to purchase items at the scholar dollar store on Fridays. I also asked for their input as to what they would like as prizes, and uploaded it here.
