My students need options for using their "arrow bucks" in the school store. This variety of materials, pencils, markers, erasers and notebooks allows students to get what they need in order to be successful in school with both function and fun!
Students in this district often have little to no resources. As a staff member I am always looking to make their learning more accessible and exciting! I hope to always give them incentives to help motivate them since many of my students lack the parent involvement necessary to continue success.
As a school we try our best to encourage our students to always try their best!
We are so excited as a school to provide an opportunity to get our students out into a different environment and celebrate all of the hard work they have put in this school year.
My Project
Our school is one of many schools that uses the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) philosophy. In our school in particular, we use arrow bucks to reward students for being respectful, responsible, and engaged students. These arrow bucks can be used by the students to purchase items in our PBIS store.
The PBIS store allows students who are good school citizens to purchase items that they may want or need to use throughout the school day.
Some students are unable to afford fun dry erase markers or pens, notebooks or erasers so this store allows them to make positive choices and earn the rewards they want.
