Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These resources will support my students in their learning by providing tools for metacognition. When students become aware of the support resources around the room, they are able to track their thinking and understand when they need support and how to use the tools provided for them effectively. Anchor charts are used in creating step-by-step processes with words and visuals to support the understanding of students. As we enter our 3rd Module of ELA for the school year, we are hoping to create resources that support students in their access to nonfiction texts, as they gather information about pollinators and create posters to advocate for our environment. These charts are also supportive of math, as they display several strategies we have learned as well as math vocabulary we have reviewed so that it can be referenced as necessary by our learners.
