Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Student input is very important to me. I asked my students at the end of this school year what supplies they want to have in the art room that we don't currently have or have enough of and then I sat down and wrote this project.

From air dry clay to cotton balls, pony beads, paint markers, pipe cleaners and rhinestones these are student requested art supplies they want to have available in the art room to make art with next school year.

Many of these requested items are what I consider to be extras and don't fit into my art budget which is mostly spent on basics like paint, paper, glue, etc. But I want to find a way to give students the supplies they requested. I know they would be very grateful to walk into the art room next school year and see the supplies they asked for. It would also make them feel seen and heard that I took the time to read through their requests and do what I could to get them those materials.

So help me grant these requests and stock my art room with student requested art materials.
