My Students
EHS is an amazing school with a student population that is extremely diverse. Our students have the benefit of attending an incredibly diverse school. This allows for students to be exposed to many different cultures and learn from each other. EHS is the hub for English Learners. We have approximately 22 different ethnicities and just as many languages. EHS has a large homeless population and more than half of the student population is eligible for free and reduced lunch. Although many of our students struggle with many daily life challenges, the atmosphere here at school is amazing. The sense of community at our school is incredible. We work hard to support all students with all backgrounds and this is why we are such a great school.
My Project
In the past, our Publication Design students have had a hard time getting quality photos at school sporting events and other events in which a telephoto lens is required. This is partially due to dated equipment.
A high-quality lens would vastly improve our photography, which is featured in the school yearbook, newspaper, and literary journal.
The Canon EF telephoto zoom lens will help my students capture far-off action of fast-paced sports or zoom in for intimate portrait shots. This lens is a priority for many amateur and professional photographers. Help my students have access to professional equipment and help make our school publications shining examples of student learning.
