Student Organization Equals Student Success

Help me give my students space their targeted math skill activity! All students work on different skills at different times in the classroom. Having the items they need every day in an organized manner is important for students.

My Project

Help me create space needed for student organization. I am looking at the following items for a way to differentiate between math games, and different targeted skills like structuring numbers, or making 10. Each student or math targeted skill will have a place in the classroom. Students work hard when they know the exact skill needed to work on, and we as teachers do this by making it easy for the student to find what they need in order to be successful.

Each student may be working on a different skill.

Having spaces in the classroom for differentiating is important for student growth. Student spaces and organization in the classroom is the key to a well managed classroom. The file folders will hold individual math games that each student can work on independently. This will allow each student to be able to strengthen their math when they finish other items in the classroom. The bins will hold math books and journals for differentiated math groups. I will use the magnetic holders for targeted skills such as structuring numbers, making 5, 10, and 20. Some students need number practice and I will be able to place daily skill practice in these magnetic file folders. This will make it easy when labeled for students to grab what they need when they are ready.
