The students and student-leaders that makeup Student Media are some of the most creative, hard-working, and committed members of the student body, working to grow one of the school’s newest organizations.
Student Media prides itself on being one of the most diverse and involved clubs in school, covering all major school events, presenting our school’s accomplishments to parents and alumni online.
The students of Student Media work before and after school to film and edit various events throughout the year and help present what's best of our school to the student body and the community as well.
My Project
While this grant would cover equipment for a variety of uses, what my students mainly want to do is start a weekly digital news show in collaboration with The Survey (our newspaper) and other event organizing bodies such as the Student Government, TEDxBTHS, RISE, and our musical organizations.
The show would be fully staffed by student writers, producers, directors, anchors, and reporters and shared with students, parents, alumni, and staff online on YouTube and our school website.
