Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items will help our students develope a celebration of our rich cultural heritage, with various activities and performances showcasing traditional music, dance, art, and cuisine from different regions of our country.
Here is a brief outline of what they are planning for the cultural fair:
1. Music and Dance Performances: There will be live performances by talented musicians, students, and dancers, representing different genres and styles. From classical music to folk dances, you will have the opportunity to witness the diversity of our cultural traditions.
2. Traditional Food Stations: The students and guest will have the chance to savor mouth-watering delicacies from various regions of our country. From spicy street food to authentic regional dishes, the food stations will offer a gastronomic experience that will tantalize your taste buds. Most of the food samples are prepared by the community, students and their families. The resources will aloow us the ability to serve food in a safe and santitary way to prevent the spreading of germs.
The mustaches and berets are a manipulative learning tool to help support their learning about France, which has been part of our school wide theme all year due to this being an olympic year.
Our students are a low socio economic schools. Majority of our students have never traveled outsife of the comminity they live in. Our goal is to provide them with a worldly and diverse experience where they get to experience the world through their five senses by showcasing the tradition they have learned about in class and letting them ne the leaders and teachers to our community.
