Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I remind my students often the importance of being kind to others as we never truly know what others are experiencing. I would love for my students to be more empathetic and kind to their peers in the school. One way I would love for my students to demonstrate kindness by creating educational care packages whether it's a classmate or other students in the school.
The care packages would require a pouch that would include pencils and other new items we already have in our classroom such as pens, markers, and hand sanitizers.
Furthermore, the paper and toner would be used to create cards or simply allowing others to print documents they need for their classes.
My students will be in charge of putting the packages together and hand them out at designated times such as lunch periods. The intention is to not only show students to put educational packages together for their peers, but also to be kind and help others as needed. My hope with this initiative is for students to care for those in their community and build relationships with one another.
