Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The chairs and rug will provide an inviting therapeutic space for my students. The chairs will also help the students to feel more comfortable and empowered. These chairs will allow them a space off the ground, as they have often been sitting on a bean bag. This will allow for a more balanced therapeutic feel.

The sound machine will provide my students with a safe space to open up as they will feel more secure that others will not hear what they are discussing.

Aromatherapy is known to help with relaxation. As is fidget toys and playing games while discussing difficult conversations.

My students are special as they are attending an alternative school setting within an area where they often have little family or community support. I hope to be one of many people in their lives that they can learn to trust.
