Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I plan to get these materials based on student input and a survey. I plan to use these books for their independent reading daily in their English 1 or English Intervention class.
I surveyed students to get their interests and opinions and see which books they would enjoy reading and interacting with in the class.
These books will help my students dive into their English work learning how to interact with the text with claim, evidence, and reasoning. Exploring characters, and determining the writers tone and message are units where students will interact with the texts.
