Help me give my students proper hygiene practices that can contribute to overall physical health and well-being, allowing students to feel their best and perform well academically.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Help ensure access to hygiene products that will promote a healthy and comfortable learning environment for students. I would like to make sure my students have educational institutions that can provide items in my classroom that allow my students to have a safe place to come for wellness support with their hygiene needs.
It is important to have a small first aid kit containing essentials like bandages, and antiseptic wipes, that can be helpful for minor injuries or emergencies.
For female students, access to menstrual hygiene products such as pads, and tampons is essential for managing menstruation hygienically and comfortably. Deodorant helps control body odor and keeps students feeling fresh throughout the day. Keeping hands clean is essential to prevent the spread of germs and illnesses. Students should have access to soap and water for handwashing, toothpaste, and toothbrushes or mouthwash, as well as hand sanitizer for times when soap and water are not available. Many of my students do not have the opportunity to have lip bam for moisturizing their lips. It is very hurtful to test and your lips are bleeding. Many days My students are working and ask for a hair clip just to pull their hair back. Older students need to have these things going through puberty.
