Student Government Supplies Needed!!

The Student Government at this school is in need of basic office/craft supplies. During the school year it is the SGA's intent to fundraise money by doing candy sales, bake sales and "dress down" days. To help facilitate this we will need: poster paper, markers, paint, paint brushes, copy paper, plastic bags to hold candy, ribbon and many other small items. One bigger item needed would be a lock box to keep all the funds safe. Any donation would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I am the Student Government Advisor at an all girls school in urban NYC. This donation will help 350 young women who are the most inspiring, young leaders you will ever meet!

Our school faces what most urban schools do in NYC- we need more funding! We have just elected 25 new student government officers who are ready to raise awareness for amazing charities in the form of soup kitchens, habitat for humanity, AIDS and breast cancer walks. These fund-raising events organized and led by our students provide an opportunity for them to give back to their community. In addition, they gain leadership, organizational, and communication skills running these events.

These resources will allow the Student Government to create inspiring posters to raise awareness of their ongoing philanthropic events. This will also allow them to keep track of the money they raise for charities.

Our school focuses on educating about the business world. We believe economically empowered young women can help create change in communities throughout the world. In addition, to a college prep curricula, our students our encouraged to be socially conscious business women. The opportunities to raise funds through student government reinforce classroom lessons on social responsibility. These students are amazing, young business women in the making- give them a chance to succeed!
