My Project
Help me give my students a much needed color printer and ink. This is the first year our school has had SGA (Student Government) as an elective. There are 19 7th and 8th graders who are enrolled in the class but we are serving over 900 in our school. We are trying to improve the overall school spirit along with improving our school's community service. I feel it is very important to give back and help others We have sponsored many things this year alone including: Red Ribbon Week (Say No to Drugs), Veteran's Day Celebration, Food Drives, Candy Cane Grams, working on Celebrating Autism Awareness Month, Bus Driver and Crossing Guard Appreciation Days, and sweet treats for teachers/staff throughout the year including a Holiday Scavenger Hunt in December to boost morale.
A color printer would give my students a tool to help make flyers, gift card holders, and creative displays around the school much easier and more attractive.
Students have learned to use Canva and it would be amazing if we could print these flyers in color. These supplies would help enable these student leaders to organize and execute various events and initiatives while improving their leadership and cooperative group skills.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
